We are currently involved in designing and setting-up an advanced information repository for Biodiversity. This will be the container for both data produced within our labs and public data useful for Biodiversity studies.

This page will soon host an advanced query system in order to allow users to query both structured and unstructured information stored within this repository.

Currently, our Database for Biodiversity instance has been filled with data relevant for our researches and some applications have been developed in order to extract and analyze information from this DB.

Two of them concern tools that allow analyses about miRNA:

• miRNA Annotator: an application that allows the user to annotate the miRNA targets on the EST sequences, contained within the DB, of species selected by the user. The annotations are made available in a format suitable to populate the user's instance of the MBLab social database. (A demo video is available))
  
• miRNA Target Comparison Tool: this application, by using the annotations produced by the miRNA Annotator tool, allows to compare the miRNA target of two different species in order to discover similarities. (A demo video is available)
