| Pietro Leo is an Executive IT Architect and a member of IBM Academy of Technology. He is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in the area of Knowledge Management, Integration, Mining and Search, Bioinformatics and Life Sciences with specific responsibilities for IBM Global Services in designing and deploying complex (multi-millions) services projects, national as well as international, in several industry sectors including Public, Banking, Communication, Travel & Transportation, and SMB.
Mr. Leo received more than a dozen of IBM special awards for high technical achievements including the prestigious IBM IT Architect Worldwide Technical Leadership Excellence Award in 2006. He is a permanent member of the IBM Italy Technical Expert Council (TEC), as well as a member of the TEC core team. IBM Italy TEC is the highest technical board with the responsibility to develop strategic studies targeting the IBM Italy Executive Boardroom. Mr. Leo holds a higher artistic degree in oboe from the Music Conservatoir of Lecce (Italy); a computing science degree from the University of Bari (Italy); an advanced computing science degree from University of Udine (Italy); a Master of Science by Research degree in applied artificial intelligence from University of Aberdeen (UK), and a master's degree in public funding management for business from Tax Consulting Firm (Italy). He is the author or co-author of more than 50 scientific publications and the co-author of two books edited by IBM Redbooks. |
