Gaetano Scioscia is an IT architect at IBM GBS Innovation Centre in Bari, Italy. He graduated in 1995 in physics and earned a Ph.D. in theoretical physics in 1999 in Bari. In 1998, Dr. Scioscia joined IBM, where he worked as an IT specialist and then an IT architect in such fields as data and application integration, and information and knowledge management. During recent years, his work has been focused on bioinformatics and currently he is the IBM Innovation Lab bioinformatic team technical leader.
